Symptoms
When starting Elvis Server, the message “DCOM must be installed to run this program” appears.
Cause
DCOM has been intentionally or unintentionally disabled on the computer.
Solution
Enable DCOM by going to Administration Component Services and going to Properties from the context menu under Console Root – Component Services – Computer – My Computer. In the Standard Properties tab, select the checkbox “Enable DCOM (Distributed COM) on this computer”.
