KB050148 | CORRECT KNX ADDRESS FORMAT

KB050148 | CORRECT KNX ADDRESS FORMAT

Product: Elvis
Version: 2.7
Booth: 2009-09-11

Summary

KNX group addresses must be specified in one of the formats hh/m/uuu (3-level) or hh/uuuu (2-level) with the correct number of digits. This macro corrects any group addresses entered with the wrong number of digits. It can also convert from 2-level to 3-level representation and vice versa.

The greater sign is now also accepted as a valid part of a group address. Furthermore, the bug that address parts such as the middle group were moved after macro execution has now been fixed.

Details

To do this, download the macro, unzip the files and copy them to the Elvis directory\Macros\General directory. To use it, proceed as follows:

  1. Start the macro via Tools-General-Correct>> KNX addresses.
  2. Select the data point connector and the desired address format.
  3. Click OK.

Any error messages are written to the output window.

Note: You cannot undo this operation. We recommend that you make a copy of the database before this process!
