Documentation of the Elvis package “Pushbullet”
Overview
A web service is available under https://www.pushbullet.com that, among other things, synchronizes a list of messages on all registered devices and PCs. This makes it possible, for example, to implement push notification for mobile devices (iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry).
A Google or Facebook account is required to register.
For information on the exact conditions, please visit the web address provided.
Procedure
After inserting the package into the server project via the package manager (from Elvis 3.3.41), the ready-made configuration file pushbullet.xml is available.
The next step is to create a new message port in the server project. In the Driver Type column, select WebRequestMessagingDriver. The configuration of this new message port is done in the properties window:
Configuration: | pushbullet.xml | |
Password: | … | here you enter the API key that you can retrieve in your Pushbullet account |
Now you have to create a message receiver and connect it to this connection. At the moment, you can only send the messages to your own Pushbullet account, so a single message recipient is sufficient, e.g. “My Pushbullet”; leave the Address field blank.
By default, the title of the generated messages is “Elvis Message”. You can customize it to your liking in the pushbullet.xml file.
