Installation and configuration of the WIBU-Key Server
  1. Install WIBU-Key as a server on the computer to which the dongle is connected via the IT CD …\setup\elvis\support\wibu\WkRt-Int.exe or download the setup via https://www.wibu.com/de/ .
  2. Start the WIBU-Key Server via
    • Home » Programs » WIBU-KEY » Network Server
      or
    • from the program directory via …\Program Files\WIBUKEY\Server\WkSvW32.exe
  3. By right-clicking on the server icon in the taskbar and selecting the “Status” menu item, you can check the currently logged in users. The WIBU-KEY Server can also be set up as a service under Windows NT/2000/XP by right-clicking on the server icon in the taskbar and menu item “Start as service”. This eliminates the need to log in as a user on the server.
Configuration of the clients
  1. Any IT Tools for ETS 3 that has already been installed must be uninstalled.
  2. Install the latest versions of IT Tools for ETS 3.
  3. On the PCs that you want to connect to the WIBU-Key Server in order to activate the IT tools, changes in the registry are required. Please download and execute the appropriate registration file for the following IT Tools for ETS3.
  4. Enter the IP address of the WIBU_KEY server on the client: Open the Network tab under Start » Settings » Control Panel » WIBU-KEY and enter the IP address under WkLAN Server Search List in the lower small window. Then click Add, and then click OK.
  5. Restart ETS 3 and then the desired IT Tools for ETS 3 program.

Registration by hand to point 3

We recommend using the above reg files. If you still want to run the registration manually, enter the following entries for the IT Tools on the client side in the registry, depending on the license:

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IT GmbH\Reconstruction\2.0
    DWORD Value: WibuSubsystem=3
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IT GmbH\ETSMacro\2.0
    DWORD Value: WibuSubsystem=3
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\IT GmbH\Design\2.0
    DWORD Value: WibuSubsystem=3
Configuration of the server if it is to have access to the Wibu key at the same time as the clients

In addition, execute points 1 to 4 on the server, as described under Configuration of the Clients.

Open the Network tab under Start » Settings » Control Panel » WIBU-KEY and delete the check mark under WIBU-KEY Subsystems under “Local (core)” by clicking on it and then confirm this with OK.
