Symptoms
When trying to set the connection properties of an Eibnet/IP connection, the ETS reports an error or crashes.
Cause
The Eibnet/IP connection uses the Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1. If the computer also has the .NET Framework 2.0 installed, which has been available for a short time, the wrong version of the framework is loaded.
You can check which versions of the .NET Frameworks are installed at Control Panel > Software.
Solution
Unzip this file: the EtsNg.exe.config file belongs in the ETS directory, the Falcon.exe.config file belongs in Programs\Shared files\EIBA sc\Falcon. This will force the correct version of the .NET Framework to be loaded.
