Summary
Since version 2.2.327 there is the possibility to perform an online update. If you do not wish to use this option, please proceed as follows:
Uninstall the old macro runtime (and the old macros) and then install the new versions.

Details
If you want to update from an older version of the Macro Runtime (Macros) to the new version, it is recommended to first uninstall the old version (via Control Panel » Add/Remove Programs) before installing the new one.
It is also possible, although not recommended, to install the new version in parallel with the old one. In this case, there are two macro directories, where the old macros are located under the program files folder in the directory “…\IT Bus Tools\EtsMacro” and the new ones under “…\IT Tools for ETS3\EtsMacros”. In the ETS toolbar, a yellow “M” is displayed in the macro icon, as in the old macro version, but the new macros are displayed (and executed) in the associated menu. If the old version is subsequently uninstalled, the macro icon initially appears only as a black block, but the new macros are still available. In order for the macro symbol to be displayed correctly again, the check mark at “IT Macro” must first be removed under Extras » Addins. After restarting the ETS, add the check mark to “IT Macros” again, then the macro icon appears again, this time correctly with an orange “M”, as a free-floating icon that you can drag into the toolbar.
