Summary
To diagnose installation problems, it may be necessary to enable Windows Installer logging. The resulting LOG file may contain significant indications of possible sources of error and must be sent to our support team.
Details
Download the enable_msi_logging.reg and disable_msi_logging.reg files . Log in to your PC with administrator privileges. Run the enable_msi_logging.reg file (e.g. by double-clicking in Explorer). This creates the following entry in the registry under “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer”: “Logging”=”voicewarmup”.
Now start the setup. A log file is then created in the TEMP folder, the name of which begins with “MSI” and begins with “. LOG”. By the way, you can also get to the correct TEMP folder by clicking on “Start > Run” and entering: “%temp%”. Send the log file created in this way to our support team.
You should then disable logging for the Windows Installer by running the second file, disable_msi_logging.reg.
