Why Software Protection?
We want to continue to develop high-quality software products. That’s why we need to protect some of our products from misuse. We use a WIBUKEY dongle for this purpose. Without a dongle, these products only run for a certain time and then quit or the function of the products is somewhat limited. By purchasing the software license, the unrestricted function is achieved.
Why is the WIBU key used?
We have been using the WIBUKEY dongle for many years as software protection for Elvis runtime licenses. So far, we have had very few problem cases with this dongle. That’s why we now also protect our other products against unauthorized use with the WIBUKEY dongle.
We can supply you with the WIBUKEY dongle for a USB port or the parallel port (printer) of your PC.

Is the key included in the product license?
Elvis: With Elvis, the price of the WIBU key is included in the price of the term license. The configuration license is not protected by the WIBU key.
IT Tools for ETS 3: Our IT Tools for ETS 3 can share a WIBUKEY dongle. Therefore, the price of the dongle is not included in the license costs of the individual products. When you buy the first license of an IT Tools for ETS 3, you must also purchase an IT Tools for ETS 3 key.
How is the content of the WIBU key interpreted?
In the Control Panel, you will find the entry “WIBU-KEY WIBU-KEY Software Protection: Test and Settings”.
This application allows you to check the contents of the WIBU key, create a license file and import a license file.
